Reading Reward ideaThis week, we received a wonderful email in our inbox from a Riverside Elementary School Resource Specialist. We wanted to share this success story with you, and let you know how much it means to us to that our users take the time to write to us. It makes all our hard work seem worthwhile!

What we particularly love about this story is that the principal is not only supportive of the project, he is fully involved. A reward in the RR store will earn a student an outing to go fishing with him. How fun! Even *we* want to join up this group… 🙂

Here is the message we received:

I wanted to share with you how I am using your site in my special education classroom. My students are so excited about reading. These are students who do not normally read and never read for fun. Now they are keeping track and reading multiple books!!
We have pictures of each level on the side of the Smart board. Each student has created their own name card that they place by the level they are at. It really helps to have the daily visual of where we all are.
The principal is also in our reading group and everyone is trying to stay ahead of him. We also have a reward in the RR store where you can earn a ticket to go fishing with the principal. Everyone wants to earn that!!
We love it!! Thank you so much for all the work that it must take. We love that it is free!! Everything in teaching seems so expensive. This is a wonderful way to motivate and it is so teacher friendly.
Please spread our thanks around.

RR Levels around Smart Board

Thank you so much for sharing your story, and we can’t wait to hear more from you. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the fishing expedition, too!

Happy Reading,
